What a delicious experience!
Handmade paper fabric is a little gem in Pune, one of those authentic places with a soul. The visit is a return to the past with the noise of a few machinery, a special atmosphere where you can experience the paper from the recycled shredded cotton that women sort out to the final sheet of rough, textured or soft paper. In between, you can feel the softness of the paper pulp, look at the delicate work of the men making the embossing mould to mark the paper... After the visit and the workshop (because of course you can make your own sheet of paper with petals, seeds, etc) you can appreciate and shop all the booknotes, little boxes and other decorations they design with their paper. What a delicious experience!
